Truelove's (copied this note into DesktopGenealogy file to be loaded in database) I have known this family about thirty years. William Thomas "Tom" Truelove, we called him Poppa. When he wasliving, I remember him making baskets of all sorts. He would cut hisown oak saplings and strip them, soak them and weave useful basketsout of them. He was interviewed one time by a news reporter for TV,showing him weaving his baskets. He married Ida Lois Hearne from Chatham, Jackson Parish, La. She was born 3/2/1902 and died 9/17/1982. He was born 11/3/1899 and died 6/8/1980. They are both buried in Chatham cemetery at Chatham, Jackson Parish,La. One son buried in same cemetery.....Samuel Sylvestor Truelove, born2/3/1924 and died 1/11/1967. Another son.....Alton just died this month and was to be buried inFranklin, La. Unsure of full details at this time. There is a daughter named Marie (Truelove) Horton (my friend) livingin Chatham, La. A son (Albert ?) Ray Truelove (living) in Chatham, La. Another son Lavell Truelove (living) in Chatham, La. Another son William Truelove (living) in Chatham, La. Another son James Truelove (living) in Chatham, La. Poppa's mother was Mary Neal. My Great Grandmother was a Neal and somehow related. (Maybe a sister to Poppa's mother) not sure yet. My friend Marie says that Poppa's father William Henry Truelove isburied at Ebenezer cemetery in Jackson Parish, La. I have thatcemetery list and he is not on it nor his wife Mary.
