- Davault/Debolt/Daywalt BECK b. abt 1715 in Rhineland area Germany arrived in Philadelphia through Rotterdam and Isle of Wight August 1750. His family attended Zions Lutheran Church there before departing with other German-speaking families to travel down the Great Warrior Path into North Carolina, where he, wife Catherine, oldest son Jacob, Philip,Margaret, John, George and Catherine Mary settled along Pounders Fork of Abbotts Creek near Lexington, NC. My descendance is their son George>Andrew>Alexander Devin Beck>John Jefferson Beck and my father, John Charles Beck. George took his family to Indiana Territory in 1807; Andrew took his family to Kaufman Co., TX in 1845;Alexander went from Martin Co., IN to Texas with family in 1878, and John Jefferson Beck raised his family in Wills Point, TX. My dad John Charles lived in Iowa Park (Wichita Co.) TX and our family cemetery where many of our family are interred is Union Grove Cemetery, Wills Point, TX. I am the family historian and genealogist and have a large database of family members if anyone chooses to contact me. I currently live near Tampa, FL.
