Disembarking from a leaky pirouge, he doffed an enormous beaver hat and introduced himself, making a sweepign bow before commencing his ministrations. In spite of his eccentricity, the Bloomers (and there were many of them) aways gave him credit for curing the entire settlement in a time of emergency.
