- Birth and death date/place from SSDI. A query to the Pinal County AZ mailing list (AZPINAL-L-REQUEST@rootsweb.com) discovered a person (Joy Trantham) who knew this family and, incidentally, knew my grandmother and grandfather when they lived in Stanfield, AZ. According to her:
"I've been tracking the Engelmann's and found that carl Jr. died30 years ago. I started calling Engelmann in an old Phoenix book. The first # was William, asked questions to be sure. He says he is no longer a member of the family. I'll give you his # later if you want it. He didn't want an update on Hazel though.
He gave me #'s for Mildred & Charlotte in Youngstown, Ohio. He says the phone numbers are a little over a year old and his mother was alive then. I called Mildred's #, disconnected. No one answered at the # for Charlotte and I didn't leave a message. # ( 330 ) 424-3397."
A quick check on the Internet yielded the following two addresses in OH:
