ROMAN GERALD "JERRY" Of Munhall, formerly of North Braddock, age 72, on Sunday, December 1, 2013. Beloved husband of Patricia (Balbach) Roman for 38 years; devoted father to Jerry Roman of North Braddock; son of the late John and late Laura Roman. Survived by brothers, John (Linda) Roman of North Versailles, Robert (Peggy) Roman of Forest Hills; and sister, Christine Bakalon of North Versailles; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jerry worked for Westinghouse for over ten years. He was a Vietnam Era <a id="InlineMicrositeLink_Army" class="MicrositeKeyword" title="Visit Army Memorial Site to see similar profiles" href="http://www.legacy.com/memorial-sites/army/?personid=168314730&affiliateID=717" target="_blank">Army</a> veteran and was a lifelong member of the North Braddock Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the North Braddock AmVets, and the East Pittsburgh <a id="InlineMicrositeLink_VFW" class="MicrositeKeyword" title="Visit VFW Memorial Site to see similar profiles" href="http://www.legacy.com/memorial-sites/vfw/?personid=168314730&affiliateID=717" target="_blank">VFW</a> Post 5008. Jerry also took pride in landscaping and gardening. Friends welcome Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME, TURTLE CREEK/MONROEVILLE CHAPEL, 1111 Monroeville Ave. at James St., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350, where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at 10 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.Published in Pittsburgh Post-Gazette from Dec. 3 to Dec. 4, 2013
