Nathan Cook and his wife came out to Ohio and settled in Mecca township before any road had been cut through to their farm, the same farm, on which the subject of our sketch now lives. Here the mother died in April 1846, leaving a family of seven children, viz: Asa, a resident of Michigan; James, the subject of this sketch; Nathan, deceased; Lois, a resident of Hebron, Nebraska; Betsey, of Michigan; Joseph, deceased [CHERI's ANCESTOR]; and Uphema, of Iowa.

I found a book abouth "Mecosta County" written in 1883 and found articles about O.F. Bentley and wife and that is how I found out about Nathan and Delilah living Cerro Gordo Co. It said Natha Cook was born in New York in 1822 and died in 1870. Delilah was born in Beaver Co, PA in 1819 and is still living (it didn;t say where so I have assumed she was still in Cerro Gordo Co.)

I also got lucky on the Cooks. Someone did those in Salt Lake City, too. I found Nathan Cook married to Delila Cuseeker on July 14, 1842 in Trumbull Co., Ohio.
