  Notes	Birth registered in the quarter ending March 1874 District: Barnstable Volume: 5b Page: 491 Reginald Corfield served in the Honourable Artillery Company and saw service in the Boer War, later being appointed Captain. Later he was elected Master of the Distillers Company of the City of London. During the Second World War he ran a factory at Lombard Road, Merton in Surrey, and in 1948 was Chairman of the Gordon Hospital. Reginald commissioned two oil paintings which both hang at "Armoury House", headquarters of the Honourable Artillery Company in City Road in London. One of these was of the Prince of Wales, who later became Edward VIII, presenting new colours to the Regiment in 1924. The other was of George VI in his uniform as Captain General of the Royal Artillery in 1951. This painting was the last official portrait of George VI and was widely reproduced at his death. Reginald and Marjorie were passengers on the Andes when it arrived in Southampton on 19th December1951 from Buenos Aires. They were also on the Carnarvon Castle when it docked in Southampton from Madeira on 12th January 1951.
